My name is Min-Ji Kim, a Ph.D. candidate in Department of Applied Biosciences at the KNU Molecular Microbiology Lab in South Korea. My research interests include metagenomics and host-microbe interactions based on one-health approaches. Using multi-omics approaches, I am particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms of interplays within microbial communities as well as between hosts and microbes.
I am currently passionate about the following subjects.
(1) Exploring the coevolutionary mechanisms within the metacommunity, specifically focusing on the dissemination of antibiotic resistance genes
(2) Investigating environmental microbial dysbiosis such as algal blooms resulting from changing climate and exposure to emerging contaminants
